IN STUDIO
the ELIXA band is going into the studio this Monday evening to record a song or two.
The song will be produced under the watchful eye of Neill Ettridge - top SA session drummer - and another producer.
We will most likely record Shout Hello and Sinatra (if there is time). We will be one of the first few acts to record in this new state of the art studio in Fourways. The studio has separate booths for each musician to capture the live feel of the band.
We are so stoked about this opportunity!!
Will let you know how it all goes down.

UPCOMING GIG
WHEN: Thursday 16 Feb 2006, 8pm
WHERE: Tanz Café, Bryanston cnr the river road and bryanston drive
WHO: the ELIXA band, The Politics and the incredible Nouveau Riche
$ HOW MUCH: R 30 at the door or R 20 if you are on our guest list – just send an email to ianslade@netactive.co.za
Call Tanz Cafe to book a table to eat 011 463 3128
Looks like its going to rock, we are definitely playing a cover of Dakota (with respect to the stereophonics) and we are going to drop a new song on you called “Make you mine”. Its about the distance that exists between people (emotional distance, geographical distance etc …ooh we are getting technical here) and taking a risk to satisfy your heart. We may also throw in one or two acoustic songs for flavour.
WARNING – apparently another band has taken to the road under a very similar name to ours. How unfortunate. Although we haven’t been able to verify this we are proceeding with caution and advise fans not to accept any sweets from the guys driving a green Honda Civic Reg no. TRG855GP.
